What’s this all about?

Americans define themselves

by what they believe about God, and politics. Yet these have become two of the most polarizing and divisive topics in our society.

The greatest problem in America

is not that we disagree about things that matter most, it’s that we have not been able to talk about them in a way that is respectful and productive.

To heal America means

to educate the public on how to talk about politics in a way that unites, regardless of one’s political persuasion. It means fostering respectful discourse among those (from both sides of the aisle) who truly love America.

The common denominator that brings us together

is our love of country. The Healing of America Conference is designed to educate and perpetuate the principles of the Constitution, while promoting civility. The Healing of America conferences have been held in dozens of states in years past, and it’s time to start them up once again.

Rexburg, Idaho is proud to host this conference October 13, 2018. It is a prime location for gathering passionate students and families who love America, and who are curious to know how our nation can be healed.

Is this a religious conference?

The Columbus Center is not affiliated with any religious denomination. We promote a multi-denominational education on the Constitution.

What is the primary conference message?

America is more than just a country. It was, and is, an ideal: a great experiment designed to protect our inalienable freedoms. Although its heart and soul has suffered in recent years, its virtues are worth saving, and we believe it can be healed through an educational effort characterized by meekness and civility.

What is the purpose of the conference?

The Healing of America Conference promotes a message of hope for the future of America and the world. It aims to inspire our community with a vision of America’s place in the world, while encouraging loyalty to principles of Constitutional government. We believe the United States Constitution is God’s inspired pattern for successful, moral government, and that it is America’s destiny to learn how to master and take advantage of this rare gift of self-government, and then teach these principles by example and through educational efforts, not through force or compulsion.

We encourage others

to study the Constitution from the viewpoint of the Founding Fathers, and affirm that our American government was designed to utilize the strengths and talents of liberals AND conservatives.
